Message de Shavouot de David Mattis, étudiant rabbin à Los Angeles, qui a rendu visite à Neve Shalom cette année

Cette année avant la fête de Chavuot je me souviens que le rabbin Elliott Dorff de l'Université Juive Americaine montre souvent que birkat hatorah - la benediction pour la Tora se lit d'abord "natan ha-torah" (Dieu donna la Tora) puis "notén ha-torah" (Dieu donne la Tora).  C'est à dire, notre relation avec la Tora a commencé au passé et continue jusqu'a present.  

 

This year before the holiday of Shavuot, I'm reminded that Rabbi Elliott Dorff of the American Jewish University often points out that birkat hatorah - the blessing for the Torah - reads first "natan ha-torah" (God gave the Torah) and then "noteyn ha-Torah" (God gives the Torah).  In other words, our relationship with Torah began in the past and continues into the present.

May the words of the kiddush: "sason vesimkhah" (joy and happiness) follow us from the present into the future.
